Initialy, ATS started in the year 1992 with the help of ONGC Engineers in the name of "Chandkheda Thamizh Sangam".
Later on this Sangam is expanded with the support of Gandhi Nagar and Mani Nagar Tamil people & the name is changed to "Ahmedabad Tamil Sangam"
